Strawberry NigiriFRUIT AS MEAT!!!(new experimental series)
WHAT?! HOW?!* Thinly slice strawberry flesh to resemble texture of filleted fish.* I cut off all the outer seeds and then make my fillets by slicing from the bottom of the strawberry; about 1-1.25cm up from the cutting board.* Prep your rice ahead of time; season as you wish. * Grab a little bit of rice and grasp it in the palm of your hands, so that it all sticks together & then shape it into a little boat.* Add a little extra dash of seasoning on top of the rice, which could also just be wasabi powder or paste, etc.* Place strawberry slices on top of rice.
MAKE IT TASTE LIKE MEEEAAT!!!* I found that marinating the strawberries ahead of time helps (like 5-10min) * …but something as simple as a couple drops of Soy Sauce, did the trick well!* Add your favorite seasoning as you wish; examples: Chilli Powder, Garam Masala, Nutmeg, Garlic Salt, Onion Power… not all at once ppl! Just try different spices on each nigiri you make and see what you like.
